Lazy Lazy Sunday

I had spent the night at Missy’s last night. Woke up early and headed home. I stopped at 7-11 on the way home and got this:
It was fruit punch flavor of G2. I was not a fan of the flavor. I definitely would stick to the orange flavor in the future. (And yes, I know this stuff is CHUCKED full of HFCS.) I also had half a clif bar sometime during the morning. Blueberry crisp. I really enjoyed this flavor!!
(forgot to take a picture this morning)
Lunch
Justin went and picked up us lunch from Crisp and Juicy. This place is shamefully good. I had a chicken breast sandwich with lettuce and tomato (no mayo or anything) but I did put a little spicy mayo on it. I slowed snacked on this thing all afternoon and ended up eating the whole thing (which I was surprised and felt a little guilty about.)
I also had a small side of yuca. I ADORE yuca, especially from C&J. It is so crisp on the outside and then soft and potato’ish (I know, not a word.
) inside.
I also dipped these little guys into the spicy mayo.
It definitely was a LAZY afternoon for us. We basically just laid around the house all day. We planned to go for a bike ride this evening once it had cooled down some. We finally got ready to ride and what would you know but a massive storm rolled in. Massive rain, thunder, lightning. At least we weren’t already out on the ride when the storm hit.
Workout
After our ride was canceled, I decided to motivate myself to the gym. I threw a handful of Kashi Go Lean crunch in a zip lock bag to munch on during the drive to the gym.
At the gym my body begged to sweat. And what better way to work up a good sweet than the elliptical (all this is set at an incline of 3.0).

I was very glad I went to the gym. It was empty because it was a Sunday night and I felt wonderful afterwards.
Dinner
When I got home from the gym, Justin had decided we should go out to eat to keep up with the lazy Sunday theme. We went to this fairly new restaurant in Falls Church that we have really been enjoying, Dogwood Tavern. They have an amazing selection of beers on tap, but neither of us were drinking tonight. I ordered the Apple & Chicken Spinach Salad.
It had about 1/2 a fresh green apple on top, spinach, grilled chicken, cranberries, carrots, onions, sunflower seeds and blue cheese crumbles. I had ordered ranch on the side but I didn’t really use it. Justin had a buffalo chicken wrap which I definitely stole a couple bites from—it was really good, but my body was screaming for veggies after what I had fed it this weekend.
On the ride home, I said I had a bit of a sugar craving (I have a terrible sugar tooth. Not chocolate really, but definitely sugar.). Justin suggested we go to the Frozen Dairy Bar. They serve frozen custard. I went for the flavor of the day–Chocolate Toffee Crunch (see above sentence for why this was a bit of a letdown.) I really should have gotten the vanilla custard. Anyway, it had little pieces of Heath Bar mixed in. I got a kiddie size (2 ounces) and was only able to eat maybe half of it.
I had to take a picture of what Justin had because it was…..indulgent and the name made me laugh. The Barack’s Butterfinger Blast. Got to love how DC embraces Presidential races (they also had the McCain’s Marshmallow Melody)
This thing was MASSIVE. I had 2 bites of it and think I slipped into a sugar coma for a moment or two. Justin probably didn’t even eat half of it.
So now that I am all caught up on blogging I can relax and watch the tour from today (missed it this morning!) and go to bed early tonight to catch up on some missed sleep.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Hmm- crisp and juicy sounds awesome! Also, I drink a G2 every morning after I have had a night out- sometimes it is the only thing that helps me. Your day of food sounds fabulous- flavorful, healthy and delish!
