I really am enjoying this. I should work from home more often. I have gotten quite a bit of work done, called in to some meetings and talked to a few people on the phone. I am being active.
Workout
I got all ready to go for a bike ride (changed, filled up the water bottle, etc.) and walked out to get the bike and noticed that I had a totally flat front tire. I was so annoyed. I didn’t feel like driving to the gym and I still can’t really run (especially because it was almost noon so it was boiling hot.) I decided to see what all I could get out of exercise tv. I have done abs and a bit of lifting on there but never cardio. Here is what I ended up doing:
Jackie Warner’s Upper body workout (20 minutes)
Jackie Warner’s Lower body workout (20 minutes)
Cardio Party (26 minutes)
1-mile booster (17 minutes)
Total: 83 minutes
I think that isn’t too shabby! I definitely sweated A LOT!
Lunch
I had a light, quick lunch. A big salad. I had romaine lettuce, carrots, cherry tomatoes, edamame, hard boiled egg white, 1/3 an apple, bean sprouts and red bell pepper. I topped with about 1/2T of Annie’s Green Goddess dressing and a splash of mango dressing.
Here is where I am on my to do list:
Get work done for my Thursday meeting
Get work stuff done for installs today
Lift
Call into 2PM meeting
Go for a bike ride (But I still did cardio, so I think this can be crossed off!)
Bake something for Becky
Mail Becky’s care package
Mail back the crappy phone I got from EBAY
Do a load of laundry
Pack up a few boxes of the house
Write some thank you notes
Call Allie
Get email sent out for ECU game
I baked Becky some low-iodine brownies. I had a small nibble and they taste pretty good. They definitely aren’t healthy but at least she has something good to snack on. I also read online that someone on a LID can eat Larabars, so I am going to stop by the store and grab her some of those. Care package consist of a puzzle, brainless celebrity magazines, 1st season of Doggie Houser, brownie and I may grab a few other things at the store.
Okay, time to run to the store and then the post office. Then back for more of the to-do list. Ugh, this means I have to put a shirt on. I have spent the day in gym shorts and a sports bra and I kind of like it. I highly doubt if the post office would!!

Haha, loved the way you ended your post
I’m glad you’ve been having such an enjoyable (and productive) day! That salad looks so light and full of great ingredients.
snark to me.
what is jackies workout like?
fun? funny? motivating? irritating>
inquiring minds and all…
I love Jackie’s workouts- I used to watch her show so it’s like I’m actually being trained by her staff. I like her core workout too! Jackie is so straightforward and I like her workout style. Simple!
You should remove the “shamefully” from the title. You never ever call out sick or skip days, so there is no shame in taking a day for yourself. And look at all you got done!
ps: I see no reason that shorts and a sports bra shouldn’t be acceptable in public… and with your bod it should be mandatory
eatingbender: Thanks. It was a good day!!
MizFit: Jackies workouts are….okay. I did feel a bit sore afterwards. My big problem is that I only have 5 lb dumbbells and 12.5lb dumbbells at home. I really need something in the middle. I think I get a better workout on my own, but when I can’t get to the gym, I think they are okay. I definitely sweat. I am not a huge fan of hers–she isn’t the motivating but the abs and arms of the people in the videos are definitely motivating!!! And they aren’t funny at all. They barely talk. I wouldn’t buy them.
Faye: I love her ab workout. That is my favorite of all three. It definitely bust my ass!!

Meg: Wow, I loved this comment, especially the end of it. You are amazing!
