I really want to go to sleep right now but I do feel compelled to post, so this is a post totally submitted out of love.
Workout
We went for about a 16 mile bike ride this morning that had a VERY strong head wind to it. It took about 1 hour and 4 minutes. The head wind was luckily for the ride out, so the ride back was fairly easy and we actually ended up talking about all sorts of things. I think we are so similar in how we discuss things. We don’t talk at night when we are laying in bed, we talk about important things when we are out on a ride or stuck in the car for a long time. Never when we are laying in bed. Anyway, it was a very pleasant and good ride.
Food
It seems almost easier to spilt food up into its own section. I am not entirely sure of where my meals ended and when they began today. And maybe I should explain that it is my time of the month. I actually don’t have a time of the month, I have a time of the quarter thanks to the wonders of birth control. So it is a bit more rare that I have to deal with that, but I am more than happy to admit it DRASTICALLY changes my eating habits (and I also grow horns, a tail, and a cape and some people call me Lucifer during this time, but that is a whole different story.)
Before we went for our ride, I decided to have a bit of a donut that Justin’s dad had just gone and gotten fresh (I am not the biggest donut fan). This definitely tasted good but immediately I was reminded why I don’t like donuts–I hate the aftertaste/residue.
1/4 of a fresh donut that was begging to be eaten.
After the ride, I had 1/2 cup of dried oats, 1T of flax seed, 2T of wheat berries, some soy milk and half a nectarine. On the side I had some fried potatoes (oh how good!) and a fried egg white.
Then I showered and decided that I needed more food. Luckily, a Texas sheet cake was hiding in the kitchen and I was able to wrangle up this piece.
(Don’t worry, you will see more of this stuff…oh yeah, and other than the TotM, I don’t really like chocolate.)
Then we ran around doing some errands getting things ready to go out on the boat for the day and also to grocery shop for the night. Once we got home and were ready to go out on the boat, I knew I was hungry and decided that I should eat something before getting around all the snacks on the boat.
1 piece of bread with 1/2 light laughing cow wedge on 2/3rds of the bread and then about 2/3T of peanut butter on the other 1/3. Tasty, tasty.
BOAT
On the boat, I consumed the following:
- 1 Coors Light
- Mojito (with diet 7-UP)
- Capirina
- 1/4 Coors Light (split with the mother-in-law)
- Some whole wheat tortilla chips
- 4T of homemade guacamole
- My body weight in pretzels
- 1 Bulls eye (damn, not only are they at the beach house, these things are now taunting me on the boat!!!)
Dinner
- 3 small glass of wine
- 3 ounces of beef
- 2 ounces of fish sauteed in butter (don’t ask, I am not going into this story)
- 2 small slices of zucchini
- 1 watermelon slice
- 1 ear of corn
- 3 pieces of bread
- 1/8 of Vidalia onion
- 3 Tomato slices with feta
Post Dinner
- 2 Sam Adam’s Hefeweizens
- 3 more pieces of the above Texas Sheet cake
- 1 more bull’s eye
Okay, I am heading to bed. I will think about (deal with) the calories consumed today. Oh yes, and I am putting on a bikini again tomorrow, so I definitely will have to deal with the bloat of today. Bike ride planned again in the morning. I am so glad to be in bed before 11, this is such a treat!!
