Good morning blog world! Time to start the day….at full speed! At least it is hump day, right? Obviously not a lot has happened since my last post except my required 7.5-8 hours of sleep. Our cat was a monster all night. I need a crate (like the have for dogs) to put her in a night. Would this be cruel?
Last night, after blogging, and basically while reading, I had my something sweet. I don’t know what it is, but I really do have to have a little something sweet before I go to bed. I avoid sweets all day long and I think it is because I know I will have this pm treat. If I took it away, I am not sure how strong my will power would be around all the sugar at work.
All this is is a little bit of 0% Fage (45 cals worth) with about 1t of honey and a bit of raisin bran. Sweet and crunchy. mmmmm!

Breakfast
Boy was I starving by the time I ate breakfast this morning!! Right now, I can’t mess with perfection and also….I just don’t have the mental power to be creative after working on the thesis from basically the moment I wake up for at least an hour. I save the file and then start getting my oats together. My brain is still focused on things like the Article 51 of the UN Charter, terrorist activity in Lebanon, the legal use of force, etc.etc., (oh you know you want to read 140 pages of that excitement!) not if my taste buds are craving shredded coconut or blueberries this morning.
With that said–1/2 cup of oats, 1/4 cup of egg beaters, 3/4 cup of water. Cooked at 60% power for 2.5 minutes. Added 1T of flax seed, some shredded coconut (hehe, I did switch it up a bit) then some trail mix and 1 granola chunk.

AM Snack
This nectarine is from a newer batch, so I am hopeful. I am so hopeful that I am not bringing a back up plan.

If you can’t tell, I am trying to get my fill of the peach family prior to it going bad. I promise my am snack will get more exciting after all the fruit is out of season (okay, well there may be a lot of apples during the fall….)
Lunch
I went for something a little different and I don’t the photo of this does it justice. I chopped up some spinach, added some basil, and (that amazing cheese from Sunday night!) some feta, S&P. Then I chopped up 2 small heirloom tomatoes and added them to the mix.

I am planning on eating this mix with some wasa crackers.

I also threw together a little spinach salad

but for a little twist, I have some steak strips on the side to heat up and add to it (gives the meal some protein)

And obviously I have my rice pudding for dessert.
PM Snack
Because I am so busy right now at work, I like having something I can slowly snack on. Something that doesn’t take a lot of effort but last for awhile.

Warm edamame with some salt is the perfect choice in my mind!
Workout goals
I should have enough time to make it to the gym over lunch today. Cardio wave, here I come! I have physical therapy after work, so that will be another one hour of working out.
Tonight–MUST PACK THE HOUSE!
(And I can’t forget that I have a dentist appointment tomorrow morning)
Have a fabulous hump day. Friday will be here before we know it!
