Yep, blah. That is the best I can do today. After I posted last night, I went upstairs, crawled into bed, and proceeded to lay there for way too long. Sleep just wasn’t coming my way. Finally I fell asleep only to be woken up at 5:30 this morning by our devil of a cat. I never went back to sleep after that. I think this also has to do with the medications I am on….they just really give my anxiety and have my brain running at a million miles an hour, even when I’m exhausted.
Breakfast
I did decide to switch up my oats a little bit this morning. I never cook mine with milk. I think it is because I just sort of see it as a waste of calories, not really sure. But this morning I did 1/2 cup of oats with 1/2 cup of water and 1/2 cup of milk, a pinch of salt, a few raisins and a little bit of vanilla extract. Heated up at 60% for 3 minutes. It still was much watery than usual, so I heated it up for another minute…still a bit soupy. I thought it needed a little bit of something else, so I put a little spoonful of Wegmans natural PB.
I want to see if this keeps me full and satisfied longer than when there is no milk. I definitely still feel pretty stuffed right now and it has been 1 1/2 hours since I ate.
Lunch
The sandwich is about the same as it was last week. 1/2 a whole wheat pita with a little bit of buffalo turkey, red pepper hummus and some lettuce.
Kind-of boring, I know.
I also brought 1/4 cup of whipped cottage cheese and some Cracklin’ Oat bran.
And some baby carrots
And for my plethora of snacks:
A fiber one yogurt (which I have never had before), a TLC bar (I have never had this flavor before) and an orange.

Okay, I need to focus. I can already tell today is going to be a busy busy day. I plan on hitting up the gym over lunch. I was going to do the treadmill again because my knee has been feeling pretty good lately, but I am feeling so exhausted it may just be an elliptical/cardio wave day.
Only 19 days until I leave for Japan!!
