This week has definitely CREEPED by. I thought it should be Friday by about Wednesday. It has been another very difficult week at work and yesterday was definitely the worst day so far. I pray today doesn’t even come close. I worked way too hard and way too late yesterday for something that really doesn’t even matter. No one will fix the problems I found or take any of my recommendations into account. GRRR!! And because I worked so late, we didn’t get to go hit golf balls!!!
It was pretty windy, so I like using that as an excuse too. And the hubbie put together most of the patio furniture that we bought, so we will get to enjoy that this weekend.
Tonight—go to packet pickup for my 5K tomorrow. I always make myself select 3 goals for any race…I actually try to do this for any major thing I do in life.
1.) Place in my Age Group
2.) Run under 30 minutes
3.) Finish the race without walking
And then I think we are going to test drive a few more cars. Volkswagen here we come! I think after all of that (and the long week we’ve had) eating out is probably in our future. I am thinking about eating here: American Flatbread
And look at the weekend we are supposed to have:
That is just downright perfection! I think Justin would disagree and say that it is not normal that we are almost hitting 90 and it is only April (and we had frost in our yard this morning) but I will take what I can get! Especially seeing I have a 5K tomorrow morning and it will probably already be in the 60’s at the 8:30 race time. WoW!
And tomorrow night Justin and I are going to see Fall Out Boy at Merriweather. Merriweather is an outdoor pavilion so what a great way to enjoy the warmest night of the summer so far! Justin adores FOB and I have to admit, so do I. They aren’t exactly my type of music but putting any of their songs on while I am working out is bound to get me running harder…and they are just fun to listen to on a long car trip. The show tomorrow is with Cobra Starship, All Time Low, 50 Cent and Hey Monday. And I have to admit, there is a good part of me that is REALLY excited to see 50 Cent.
Yesterday I hit up the gym and lifted. I did the total body workout that I did last Saturday. Boy am I sore. And my abs are still REALLY sore from Tuesday. But I am beginning to see some definition (or at least I think I am.) A few more weeks and I should be good to go to Mexico!
Okay, well kind of a boring post today…not a whole lot going on. I am going to skip the gym today (let all these sore muscles heal!) and I think I’m going to head over to the Saab dealership and test drive a 93 sport sedan. I was surprised how affordable the certified used 2007 ones are! And the fact that Saab is now an American owned company…EVEN BETTER!
